PERSONALITY
You are resourceful, successful, and ambitious. Whenever there is a project in progress, you approach it wholeheartedly. You are quick to spot the potential in a situation and display skill in putting your ideas into action. However, be careful not to force your ideas on to others and alienate them, as you can be strong-willed and overly ambitious at times.
Fairness is very important to you. You want others to deal fairly with you as you are with them. Anyone who deceives you will no longer gain your trust. You are quick to anger, thrifty, but generous to those you love.
Because you are such a good conversationalist, you enjoy social gatherings and being with people. However, although you are popular and charming, and have many friends, you are not able to maintain long friendships. You have a need to be secure and understood by others. Therefore you guard your privacy fiercely.
If anyone should need a critic, you are most likely to be approached for your opinion because you are honest and unbiased. But you can be critical and petty also, especially when you find yourself in a situation where you feel you are not appreciated.
Another trait of yours is that you are a hoarder and find it not to your liking to see things go to waste. Rarely are you prepared to throw things away. Also, very seldom would you turn down an invitation for a free meal or refuse a complimentary ticket to some social function or event.
MARRIAGE
Good for matrimony with dragon, monkey or ox year people.
Avoid mating with horse year people.
COLOR: BLACK
The rat is associated with the color black, which represents honor and dignity. Traditionally, the Chinese use black to honor family, friends or country. Black also symbolizes success in times of difficulty. It was also the color worn by China's first emperor after he defeated the Chou dynasty.
