Origami Folding Tips

Origami, from the Japanese ori (to fold) and kami (paper), began in the 6th century when Buddhist monks introduced paper to Japan. The print-and-fold crafts and easy diagrams are designed to help children with fine motor skills, directions and hand eye coordination. Some basic origami folding tips:
  • Print and cut out patterns carefully.
  • Fold with clean, dry hands.
  • Follow the instructions. Study the diagrams and be patient.
  • Be precise: fold each crease well, flattening the creases by running your fingertip over the fold.
  • Folding the paper away from you is easier than folding towards you.
  • Be creative...use your origami on greeting cards, holiday decorations, table place cards and bookmarks.

PERSONALITY
Your honest, affectionate and loyal nature enables you to retain enduring friendships. You are hesitant and shy with strangers, but eventually once you gain confidence with them, you emerge as a lively and warm-hearted individual.
If someone should take advantage of you, you will retreat to reflect on the problem and protect yourself. As time passes by, you will usually find a way to respond in a positive way. Never would you seek revenge because you are not a vindictive person.
You are a good conversationalist and speak truthfully and to the point. Since you are a firm believer of justice, you become disappointed and hurt with those who carry on with hypocrisy or have hurt you unjustly. However, you are tolerant and kind enough to forgive others for their wrongs.
Always a loyal member of a committee or organization, you enjoy group activities and can be depended upon to help out at functions. You shine when you are at service to others, giving up your time for the good of others. This makes your colleagues and employers value you highly.
Unfortunately, you will come across people who will try to take advantage of you because you simply can't say "No."
Another trait of the boar is his ability to recover from setbacks. As a Boar person, you depend on your faith and strength of character to keep you going. With your great determination, you will pursue and achieve anything that you want to do for once your mind is made up, no one can change your view.
MARRIAGE
Good for matrimony with rabbit or ram year people.
Avoid mating with monkey, boar or snake year people.
COLOR: BLACK
The boar is associated with the color black, which represents honor and dignity. Traditionally, the Chinese use black to honor family, friends or country. Black also symbolizes success in times of difficulty. It was also the color worn by China's first emperor after he defeated the Chou dynasty.
